Usually I create a small sketchbook — with 8-10 pages from the events of the day — as well as a finished watercolor, matted and ready to frame… all delivered before the event is over.
I meet with the family in advance, talk about the entire event, who the important people are, and what is important to you for me to capture. During that meeting I discuss the schedule of the day… what the key pieces of the day would be and where in and around the venue things would happen. If the venue is nearby, I may go and scope it out in advance.
On the day of the wedding or event, I arrive in advance to set up. I begin creating a sketchbook that I will continue to work on throughout the event. As guests arrive, I sketch and do my preparation for the larger painting. During the ceremony I situate myself unobtrusively where I can sketch the action and be out of camera range and during the cocktail hour and dinner I work on the larger painting.

I require a deposit to hold the date along with a signed contract, and another payment a month before, with the balance payable on the wedding date.
